Mark Olbina D.D.S

        Dr. Olbina has been an Amelia Island resident since 1984.  He graduated from the prestigious Indiana University School of Dentistry after serving as the president of his class for four consecutive years.  His decision to serve his country as a Naval Dental Corps. officer was what brought him to this area from Indianapolis, Indiana.  While serving three years at the Naval Submarine Base at King's Bay (and living on the island), he and his wife, Karen, fell in love with the friendly people and the beautiful surroundings on Amelia Island.  In 1987, Dr. Olbina opened the doors to his new office at the Amelia Professional Plaza on 14th street.  It took approximately one full year of part time work in Jacksonville while slowly building the practice on the island before he was working on Amelia Island full time.  Since that time, the practice has grown and expanded until the original location could no longer accommodate the patients who wanted to join his dental "family".  In February of 2007, Dr. Olbina and his staff were proud to move into their current location in the Amelia Crossing shopping center, just north of the Wal-Mart on 14th street. 

     Dr. Olbina designed the new office with patient comfort in mind.  He has incorporated the latest dental technologies (ie. digital x-rays, computer terminals in each room, etc.) into a friendly, soothing environment with windows and dark wood floors in each room.  Each treatment room creates a comfortable, private environment in which to receive dental care.   

     Dr. Olbina is committed to delivering the best care possible for his patients.  He travels the country to attend continuing education seminars and discusses dental advancements almost daily with some of the most distinguished dental educators worldwide via the internet.  Whether it is a family dentistry procedure or one to improve the cosmetics of a smile, Dr. Olbina is careful not to just buy into each new "fad" that comes along. He evaluates each new technology and, if it proves itself to be safe and effective, he works to obtain the equipment and training to deliver that new technology to his patients.

    Whether it is tooth colored fillings, crowns/bridges, root canals, implants, or any other procedure performed by the office, you can rest assurred that Dr. Olbina will perform that service with the utmost in care and professionalism to make your visit a safe and comfortable experience.
